Sugar Or Honey?
“What you have to decide… is how you want your life to be. If your forever was ending tomorrow, would this be how you’d want to have spent it? Listen, the truth is, nothing is guaranteed. You know that more than anybody. So don’t be afraid. Be alive.”
― Sarah Dessen, The Truth About Forever
Have you found yourself in this tricky situation? You are a senior, you are retired, successful, single, and happy with the life you built. You have time to relax, rest, and enjoy the fruits of your hard work. There is just one issue. You are constantly lonely!
What is a senior to do in a situation like this? Traditional relationships require a great deal of energy, and they have too many variables. Where do you go to simply have some fun?
Now that we have added the internet to the chase, aka online dating, for many people, it’s the “avenue of hoes”. Females, some as young as nineteen years old, have forsaken the traditional pimp, street walking, and “ho houses” to serve you in your car, at a cheap hotel, at their home, or yours, for money. In advance, of course, through cash app. Although all the old prerequisites of a prostitute are not there, the easy money has turned many females into online sex workers.
Unfortunately, many are dishonest. On the lure of a sexual tryst, if online females can get you to advance them cash with some urgent emergency on a cash app, scratch-it, or gift card, you will likely not ever see them. They’ll go on the next mark and avoid being busted by the last.
The coronavirus has moved the masses to online dating. But it wasn’t the virus that drove me. I have learned of many signs that a candidate is not sincere before I commit to sending them money. Perhaps, what I have learned can prevent you from losing thousands of dollars before you finally find “that” someone, the ultimate in your hunt for love or flesh. I learned the hard way, like any hunt, driven by addiction. There are always a million fires.
This is what I, Harold D. Rici, have written my book about. ‘Sugar or Honey’ delves into the new-age world of online dating and the women who come with it. I deliver my exploits in a funny, honest, and raw manner. Readers will not only find humor in these words but also witness how the dating world has changed over the years.
Full of personal notes, real-life conversations, and insightful commentary, ‘Sugar or Honey’ is a must-read for people of all ages – especially if you find yourself amidst the throes of online dating sharks.
