The Author
Born in Manhattan, N.Y., in 1952, Harold D. Raci grew up as the third child of eight in Washington, D.C.
Since graduating from college in 1980, Harold became a journalist, an avid reader, poet, photographer, traveler, community activist, a (sometimes) golfer, and an avid tennis player. He switched careers in 2007 to become an Information Technology Specialist for a federal agency and retired in 2007. Before then, he worked from 1974 to 1980 as a student intern, and from 1980 to 2000 he served as a public affairs specialist for a federal department. Raci also freelanced photography and journalism, with articles published in local media from across the country, leading to appearances on several television and radio stations.
He has lived in Washington, D.C., Maryland, and Arlington, VA.
